Today Liverpool Ladies announced that Natasha Dowie has signed a new contract with the club, gifting supporters with the ideal Christmas present 2 days early.
Since her move from Everton Ladies in 2012, Dowie has topped the reds goal scoring charts in both 2013 and 2014. 19 strikes in 21 appearances in her first season and 13 goals to her name this year - paying an integral part to both title wins.
Dowie's strength on the ball is also part of her game which Liverpool thrive off, her ability to hold to ball up in and around the 18-yard box to bring the rest of the attack into the game.
Last season with Nicole Rolser missing for the majority of the campaign, Dowie was missing her main partner-in-crime but still shone up front for Liverpool; a hat-trick against Sunderland with a wonderful touch and turn to finish past the keeper, winning goals over both Manchester City in the league and Linkopings FC on the club's Champions League debut and her superb turn in the 3-0 win on the last day of the season - scoring one and winning the penalty that brought the title back to Liverpool for the second consecutive year.
Re-signing Natasha Dowie is fantastic news for Liverpool Football Club, bring on 2015!
