Gemma Bonner signs new Liverpool contract

Earlier today Liverpool Ladies announced the welcome news that Gemma Bonner has agreed a new contract with the club, meaning the captain will enter into her 3rd year of leading the team on Merseyside.

Bonner joins a string of first-team players committing to Liverpool over the off-season so far, with Natasha Dowie, Danielle Gibbons, Katie Zelem and German duo Nicole Rolser and Corina Schroder also putting pen to paper on new deals.

Since her winter move from Chelsea Ladies 2 years ago, Bonner has become an integral part of the team both on and off the field; leading by example, performing consistently and encouraging her team mates.

Gemma Bonner has now captained Liverpool to 2 successive league title and this year led them into European competition for the first time, in 2015 the skipper will no doubt be looking towards lifting her 3rd league trophy and relishing competing in Europe once again.
